Employment Law Trends in Canada

According to this Financial Times article about legal trends affecting the Canadian workplace,
Employers are increasingly finding themselves being punished with expensive fines, court awards and tribunal rulings for infractions that several years ago would not have been considered in a legal forum.
Toronto management lawyer Michael Fitzgibbon's take on this phenomenon is that "it is undeniable that employer's are increasingly targets.

Personally, my view is that it may be more accurate to assert that with such Court intervention, employees are decreasingly sitting ducks.

Ah, perspective.... it makes the world go round.
