CBC News reports:

Subdued with Taser, pepper spray and baton, B.C. man dies in hospital

A 36-year-old British Columbia man has died in hospital more than four days after being subdued by RCMP officers with a Taser and almost every other available weapon short of firearms.

...Robert Knipstrom of Chilliwack, who died early Saturday in Surrey Memorial Hospital, was arrested Monday at a Chilliwack equipment rental store after an epic struggle with Mounties.

Cops are protected by the system they represent. That doesn't make their actions legal or acceptable. I find it ironic that the U.S., a bastion of freedom is using waterboarding, tasers and other forms of brutality in the enforcement of its policy. As a U.S. citizen, I am sickened by it. Absolutely sickened. We will take our country back. And, it will start at the Presidential polls in 2008. Now, Canada and other nations must follow suit as Australia recently did!
