Obama As The New McGovern?

Jeralyn Merrit at Talk Left wonders whether an Obama nomination, effected largely through a strategy of red-state caucus "insurgencies," could set the Democratic Party up for a George McGovern-style general election collapse.

Short version: Obama - can he win?

  1. Note that this blogpiece is being written by a well-known Clinton supporter in the blogosphere, so you need to read it with that in mind.

  2. Well, obviously, Scott. I wouldn't expect this analysis from an Obama devotee.

But I must say, I was watching Larry King interview John McCain this evening, and they were viewing video of Obama as a part of the segment. Next to McCain, Obama sure does look young and green...

On the other hand, McCain seems to be aging before our very eyes. He is not looking very invigourated by this process, to put it gently.
