Right-Wing Crazy Alert

A military coup in America to deal with "the Obama problem?"

There is a remote, although gaining, possibility America’s military will intervene as a last resort to resolve the “Obama problem.” Don’t dismiss it as unrealistic.

America isn’t the Third World. If a military coup does occur here it will be civilized. That it has never happened doesn’t mean it wont. Describing what may be afoot is not to advocate it...

...Military intervention is what Obama’s exponentially accelerating agenda for “fundamental change” toward a Marxist state is inviting upon America. A coup is not an ideal option, but Obama’s radical ideal is not acceptable or reversible.

Unthinkable? Then think up an alternative, non-violent solution to the Obama problem. Just don’t shrug and say, “We can always worry about that later.”

Be scared - really scared of these extremists...

Update from Think Progress:

A spokeswoman for Newsmax sent a statement to TPM admitting that the magazine removed the column after several reader complaints:

Newsmax strongly believes in the principles of Constitutional government and would never advocate or insinuate any suggestion of an activity that would undermine our democracy or democratic institutions.

  1. Most Americans wouldn't know Socialism if it pissed on their leg, and left a big "steamer" on their front lawn...

What's more frightening is how the Conserva-tards up here are using the same ignorant, uneducated, and undercivilized language... "Socialism", etc....

  2. It is amazing to me how the left has somehow devolved from champions of the underdog, from crusaders for women's rights, minority rights, EQUAL rights and some pretty vile imagery. Thank you WesternGrit for adding to that.

There are crazies in BOTH camps.. right wing and left wing. Code Pink anyone? Pointing at extreme examples is a time-waster. Too many are given too much publicity on either side of that coin.

What is truly disturbing is how the american media has attacked scared, honest americans who are frightened for their future and twisted it into their own message.

That gun-toting nut at the one anti-obama rally - the one that msnbc breathlessly described as likely hating a black president? If their report is the only one you saw... you would indeed fear the "right-wing" crazies.

Guess what? Dude was black. The original footage is clear - the networds later edited it out to serve their agenda.

The media has tried to portray main stream americans as "crazy extremists."

I say if one finger points at me, three more are pointing back at you, darlin.

  3. "Devolved from champion of the underdog..." That's precious! The Right decided they would label the "majority" as the underdog... Tell middle class to upper middle class "majority" males that their "rights" were being trodden upon, so these groups would slowly start to cast the "Homer Simpson/Al Bundy" view on minority groups - women, visible minorities, immigrants, etc., etc.

The Conservatives can BS all they like about standing up for the little guy - Lord knows they have the money and media ownership to support those views - but, they really continue to support the "old money", "mega-corp", and "church" demographic with their ideological economic and social platforms...

The conservative brand of politics is to step on minorities, while all the time convincing the majority community that they are the minority... Xenophobia and fear-mongering at it's finest...

  4. Wow.... conservative controlled media? Reeeeeeally?

Did you even hear about the violent demonstration by leftists recently in Pittsburg? The bombing of a radio tower in the state of Washington by ELF - a left wing terrorist organization? Probably not... it doesn't fit the narrative the mainstream media wants you to hear.

George Bush was routinely savaged by those on the left - he was portrayed as Hitler, he was hung in effigy, and even a film was made fantasizing about his assassination. There was no hand-wringing calls for "civility" then.

Did the mainstream media report on the environmental hypocrits who left behind miles of trash after the Obama Inaugural and the pristine lawn that followed the tea party event?

The mainstream media are vainly trying to show the tax-protesters in the US as being threatenig and even potentially dangerous, but thanks to bloggers and independant media, a more balanced theme is emerging. Wasn't it Hillary Clinton who described political protests as the highest form of patriotism? Or is that only when Republicans are in power?

There are ugly points of view on both sides of the political spectrum. But for the mainstream media to portray the town hall protesters as "crazy" and to refer to the tea party participants by a crude sexual slang - repeatedly during prime time, no less! - has no parallel on what would typically be described as "conservative" media channels.

With regards to your claim that "The conservative brand of politics is to step on minorities" let's look at all the left wing programs and organizations that have flourished over the years... and how much money has been thrown at "community organizers" and "education reformists" over the years. How's that been working so far?

It is a vile truth that the political left has a huge vested interest - billions of dollars in fact - in making sure their pet "issues" such as poverty and racial equity don't really get solved.
