Damages for "Wrongful Quitting"

David Doorey has a short survey today at his Workplace Law Blog of recent Canadian rulings on damages claims by employers against former employees who have resigned without providing reasonable notice.

His botom line on entitlement to damages in these rare cases:
[T]he employer must prove that the damages are a result of the failure to give notice, and not a result of the employee quitting, or some other unrelated reason.
