On Apes and Humans

The discovery of "Ardi," a female humanoid who lived 4.4 million years ago in Ethiopia, may have turned evolutionary theory on its ears.

Rather than humans evolving from ape-like ancestors, scientists now suggest it appears that both apes and humans evolved from the same, common predecessor species.

Fascinating.
