Polanski

Defence attorney Jeralyn Merritt of Talk Left takes an in-depth look at the Roman Polanski case today and concludes that a defence strategy focussing on allegations of prosecutorial and judicial misconduct may ultimately succeed in keeping the filmmaker out of U.S. prison:

In my view, this case has been mangled beyond repair, by a DA initially so over-invested in the case he was removed from it by higher-ups in his office, and a judge, who while now deceased, left behind his many ethically questionable and arguably illegal actions to speak for themselves.

Free Roman.

  1. What defence?

He confessed. He agreed to a plea. He was convicted. He ran from his sentence.

I sincerely hope that the "Free Roman" was part of the quotation and not your final comment.

  2. If he thinks he has a case he should voluntarily return to the United States and present it.

  3. He drugged and raped a 13 year old girl. Oh.. sorry... ALLEDGEDLY.

Come back, face your peers, Polanski. Running from justice does nothing to support your case, IMAO.
