San Diego Superior Court - A lawsuit has been filed and is seeking class action status against the court alleging it required employees to work overtime without compensations, in violation of federal labor laws. The lawsuit was filed in US District Court in San Diego and claims the San Diego Superior Court routinely asked courtroom clerks, calendar clerks, and court officers to work beyond scheduled hours and through lunch and rest breaks, without paying them regular or overtime rates. The lawsuit claims the court’s failure to pay for employees time violates the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
