New B.C. Second-Hand Smoke Law Probits Smoking While Driving With Kids
Following in Ontario's recent footsteps, effective April 7, 2009, British Columbia will impose a $109.00 fine on drivers who smoke in their vehicles with children present.

Why does the BC governement and BC Ferries still allow smoking on all sailings? Sure there is a smoking area at one end of the vessel (just a covered area)but how does this prevent all passengers from being exposed to second hand smoke. Sailing from Vancouver to Nanaimo takes 1 hour and 40 minutes. Are you telling me that smokers can not go without a smoke for this time period, then obviously they could not spend anytime on a flight within Canada. How do these people survive at work?
Come on BC Ferries it is time to shape up and protect your customers!
