Due process yes. It is a noble goal.
I cannot help but put the human quotient into the factor... the fact that this case is HUGE... in it's enormous incompentance factor.. in it's grossly overly-political correctness factor... in it's sheer deadliness in the face of both.
Garry - a question I pose to you - would you defend this client?
OF COURSE YOU WOULD. On the face of it... yes... everyone deserves a defence. That is the best and proper way of western law.
But as a sheer.. political.. personal... milestone? Don't you want it? Can't you taste it? Feel the microphones in your face?
I don't accuse you of any such things... hypothetical is hypothetical.
But 15 minutes of fame for anyone ... an hour? a lifetime maybe... is hard to resist.
I won't say it has nothing to do with due process... because it does. But to deny is has nothing to do with fame.. reputation... or even noteriety is purly naive.
