Responding to a Toronto Star story, Human Resources Minister Diane Finley said she has not seen the departmental memo suggesting these occupations should be listed on the Job Bank and would not approve such a policy....
The Star revealed an internal Human Resources department memo proposing that several occupations once considered morally offensive be made “acceptable for posting on Job Bank.”
Included in the newly acceptable jobs were: Exotic dancer, erotic dancer, nude dancer, striptease dancer and table dancer, as well as escort, chat line agent and phone agent for personal services.
