Paul Adam on Wills and Estates: What happens if I die without a Last Will?
If you die without a Last Will in Ontario, the Succession Law Reform Act provides for how your property is distributed after your death.
If you have a spouse, everything is left to your spouse. If you have spouse and children, everything is left to your spouse and children. If you don't have a spouse or children, everything is divided between your closest living family members.
